Farmstros Five-Week One

A week of minor league baseball is in the books. Corpus is 5 and 1 with two extra-inning walk-off wins at Whataburger Field. Salem is 3 and 1 after Tuesday's 14 inning win at home. Round Rock is 3 and 3, and Lexington is 2 and 4. This weeks Farmstros Five:

Eli Iorg(Corpus Christi)...the Hooks new centerfielder doubled the pleasure of fans in South Texas this week. Iorg had walk-off RBI singles in two extra-inning victories for the Hooks, including one on opening night. Over-all, he was 8 for 23 with four RBIs.

Fernando Nieve(Round Rock)...the Express righthander looked sharp in his first start of the season. He pitched five innings and gave up just one hit, while striking out five. If he stays healthy, he may not be in Round Rock.

Nick Moresi(Lexington)... the outfielder hit a grand-slam on opening night to tie the Legends game in the seventh inning.

Rob Cosby(Corpus Christi)...the infielder hit a home run with two outs in the ninth inning Monday sending the game into extra-inning and keeping the Hooks winning streak alive. Over-all, Cosby was 9/26 with two homeruns and 10 RBIs for the week.

Bud Norris(Corpus Christi)... the right-hander burst onto the Texas League scene with five shutout innings and eight strikeouts in his Whataburger Field debut.
