Astros sign 32 of 52

When the dust settled on August 15 at 11 pm(Houston time), the Astros had signed 32 of their 52 draft picks. The highest unsigned pick was third round pick Charles Davidson a high school outfielder from Georgia. Davidson will be going to the University of Georgia. As compensation for Davidson's failure to sign the Astros will receive a pick after next summer's third round.

The other picks from the first 20 rounds who didn't sign:

16th Round... Joshua Poytress, LHP from high school in California. Poytress is heading to Fresno State.

20th Round... Robin Shea, C from Vanderbilt University. Shea, a senior at Vandy. is pursuing a business venture rather than continuing his baseball career.
