A Pitcher's Duel in The Woodlands Tuesday

Two of the top high school pitchers in the nation are scheduled to face off Tuesday night in The Woodlands, Texas. Jameson Taillon, RHP of The Woodlands High School (#1) and John Simms, RHP of The Woodlands College Park High School (#40) are ranked in the top 40 among prep baseball players in the nation by Baseball America. Heading into play over the weekend, both coaches were planning to start their aces on Tuesday.

The game is expected to draw a standing room only crowd when it starts at 7:00 p.m. My contact at TWHS indicated that tickets are in the $3-$5 range. The Woodlands High School is the home team. You can find a map to the field here.

In case college baseball is your thing, Rice wraps up its star-studded home stand on Tuesday night as well. The Owls face Texas at Reckling Park at 6:30 p.m.
