Dufek Now with 20 1/3 Scoreless

Tri-City starter Jonas Dufek extended his scoreless string to 20 1/3 with six shutout innings for the Valley Cats. Dufek has not allowed a run since June 29, 22 days after he was drafted by the Astros in the ninth round of the 2010 Draft. For the season, Dufek, who played collegiately at Creighton, has lowered his ERA to 2.35 in six professional starts. He has allowed 27 hits and eight walks while striking out 17 in 30 2/3 innings.
