Henry Sosa has still not allowed an earned run at Corpus Christi's Whataburger Field. Sosa, acquired last week from San Francisco in the Jeff Keppinger trade, allowed three hits and no earned runs in seven innings in his second start with his new team Tuesday night. The right-hander, who turns 26 Thursday, has an 0.00 ERA in 14 innings pitched as part of the Houston organization. He has allowed seven hits and two walks while striking out 14.
Assuming the Hooks maintain their five-man rotation, Sosa is scheduled to take the mound at Whataburger Field again Friday, August 5 against Midland. He is in line to make his first road start as a Hook Sunday, July 31 at Midland.
