Martinez Nears end of Hot July

With just three games left in the month, Corpus Christi outfielder J.D. Martinez has sixteen extra base hits and 25 RBI in 25 games. Martinez added to his July totals with a three-run home run for the Hooks Thursday night. Over-all for the month, Martinez is 35 for 90 with eight doubles, one triple, seven home runs (.733 slugging), and 22 runs scored to go with the 25 RBI. He has 13 home runs and 71 RBI with a .340 batting average for the season.
