"Mr. 13.50 ERA" is Still a Legend

Tommy Shirley allowed his first earned runs as a professional Thursday night in his first start for the Lexington Legends. Entering the contest, Shirley had pitched 28 innings between Tri-City and the GCL Astros without allowing an earned run since being drafted in the ninth round of the 2010 draft. Shirley shutout Asheville in the first inning before allowing three runs in the second frame.
