Some High Draft Picks went unsigned and all I Got were these Compensatory Picks

With the draft signing deadline less than 13 hours away (tonight at 11:01 pm, Minute Maid Park time) and the Astros 1st and 3rd Round Picks still at-large, here's a quick overview of what happens in the event that those high-level draftees don't sign:

If George Springer ends up unsigned (and in a Long Island Ducks uniform?), the Astros will receive the pick directly after the 11th pick in the 2012 draft as compensation. (This is the case for all unsigned 1st and 2nd Round Draft picks.)

If third-round selection Jack Armstrong remains unsigned through the deadline, the Astros will receive a compensation pick between the third and fourth rounds of the 2012 draft. The Astros received similar compensation in the 2009 draft for their failure to sign 2008 3rd Round Pick, Chase Davidson. They used that pick to select Jonathan Meyer, currently with Lancaster.
