These Guys are Advanced

The baseball scenery has changed drastically for outfielder Adam Bailey and infielder Alex Todd since April.

When the 2011 season started, Adam Bailey was beginning his first full professional sesaon in the Lexington outfield. Bailey played 79 games for the Legends batting .282 with 16 home runs and 53 RBI before he was moved up a level to Lancaster. He only played 30 games with Lancaster battting .289 with five home runs and 27 RBI, before the ripple effect of Hunter Pence and Michael Bourn being traded led to an opening in the Corpus Christi outfield. Bailey has filled this spot for five games now, batting .429 with one home run and four RBI. Within the organization, his combined total of 22 home runs and 84 RBI trail only his Corpus Christi teammate, Kody Hinze.

Alex Todd was still at Sonoma St. in April. Houston drafted him in the 27th Round of this June's draft. After signing, he made his made to Greeneville, where he played 33 games, struggling to a .159 average with only 11 RBI. However, injuries and other moves left an infield opening at High A Lancaster, which was filled recently by Todd. He has hit in five of his first six games for the JetHawks going 7 for 21 in the California League with three doubles and a home run
