Valenzuela on a Streak for Tri-City

Rafael Valenzuela has yet to go hitless in a game for the Tri-City Valley Cats. Since being assigned to Tri-City at the beginning of the month, Valenzuela has had at least one hit in all ten games he has played. Over-all, he is 14 for 35 with five doubles, two home runs and seven RBI in the New York-Penn League.

The Astros signed Valenzuela as an un-drafted free agent last summer out of the University of Arizona. Between the GCL Astros and Greeneville in 2010, Valenzuela batted .287 with seventeen doubles, three triples, four home runs and 23 RBI in 50 games. He missed a majority of this season after undergoing hamate bone surgery. He was promoted to Tri-City after a four game stint with the Astros' Gulf Coast League affiliate.
