Sutil Won't be Visiting Corpus Christi in 2012

If fans of the Corpus Christi Hooks want to see one of the most prolific infielders in franchise history during the 2012 season, they will need to hit the road. After nine seasons in the Astros' organization, Wladimir Sutil has moved on. The 27-year old infielder recently signed a minor league deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Sutil spent parts of four seasons(2008-11) with Corpus Christi, and he is at our near the top of several career offensive categories for the franchise. Sutil is #1 in Hooks' history in games(345), at bats(1253), and hits(341). He is also #2 in runs scored(178) and stolen bases(69).

The closest Sutil will be playing to Whataburger Field in 2012 could be Mississippi. If he ends up with Mobile, the Diamondbacks AA affiliate, he will be visiting Jackson, Mississippi(May 17-21) and Pearl, Mississippi(July 24-28). If Sutil lands with AAA Reno, he will be visting Memphis and Nashville, Tennessee from May 8-15 in 2012.
