Baseball Starts in Corpus Christi today, too. Would you Like Fries with That?

When it comes to kicking off the baseball season today, it looks like the Corpus Christi Hooks have out-Whataburgered the Astros. On the day that pitchers and catchers start working out in Kissimmee, two of the top 10 high school teams in the state of Texas(Corpus Christi Carroll and Corpus Christi Moody) will take the field tonight to launch the baseball season at Whataburger Field. This evening's game is the first of a series of high school contests schedueled to take place at the home of the Astros' AA affiliate.

Carroll is rated #1 in the state. The Tigers roster includes OF/P Courtney Hawkins who is one of top ranked high school seniors in the country. Moody is ranked #9 in Texas for the 2012 season. Tonight's game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
