Two more players with experience in the Astros' organization have been added to the 2012 roster of the Sugar Land Skeeters. Colton Pitkin, LHP was drafted by Houston in the 2007 draft out of Baytown Sterling High School in the Houston vicinity. Pitkin topped out in High A of the Astros' system before being released after the 2011 season. Tyler Lumsden, LHP was acquired from Kansas City for Jordan Parraz prior to the 2009 season. He split his time in the Houston organization between AA and AAA.
The Skeeters also announced the signing of another former Farmstro, Ryan McKeller, who they had previously acquired the rights to in the Atlantic League expansion draft. With the addition of these three players, the Skeeters currently have signed or hold the rights to six players who have played in the Astros' system.
