Van Ostrand is a Hall of Famer

Jimmy Van Ostrand will be inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame as part of the Canadian national team that won a Gold Medal in the 2011 Pan Am Games. Van Ostrand drove in the game-winning run in that competition's Gold Medal Game in Mexico. Among the players going into the Canadian Hall this summer is former Astro Rusty Staub. The induction ceremony is scheduled for June 23 in St. Mary's, Ontario.
