With the help of the Farmstros Village, Lexington starting pitcher Nick Tropeano still has a shot at the fifth spot in the Farmstros Five for Week #2. However, the right-hander was clearly focused on starting off week three of the season tonight in Kannapolis.
Tropeano pitched eight scoreless innings for Lexington allowing four hits and striking out nine, while lowering his ERA in his first full professional season to 0.47. Tropeano(1-0) also picked up his first win of the young season when the Legends broke a scoreless tie with two runs in the top of the ninth. Jason Chowning picked up the save by pitching a scoreless ninth against the Intimidators.
