2012 Farmstros Five- Week #8 (Under 21 Edition)

As I started looking through the top performances in the organization for the week of May 24-30, 2012, it struck me that several players in the list were quite young, a great sign for a rebuilding system.  There were some players over 21 who made a strong case for inclusion in the Farmstros Five, most notably Jonathan Villar, who turned 21 on May 2.  However, I made a decision to make this week's Farmstros Five an Under 21 Edition.

The Top Perfomer:

Jon Singleton, 20, 1B/OF, Corpus Christi.  Singleton went 10 for 24 for the week. He had five home runs and 12 RBI for the Hooks in six games.

The Other Four:

Delino DeShields, Jr., 19, 2B, Lexington. DeShields was 9 for 28 on the week.  He had one double, one triple, one home run, three RBI, five runs scored and four stolen bases.

Mike Foltynewicz, 20, RHP, Lexington.  Foltynewicz made two starts for the Legends.  He pitched 13 innings, allowing 12 hits and four runs, while striking out 12.

Luis Ordosgoitti, 19, RHP, Lexington. Ordosgoitti pitched seven innings in his only start of the week.  He allowed six hits and two runs while striking out six.

Domingo Santana, 19, OF, Lancaster. Santana was 11 for 29 on the week.  He had two doubles, one triple, two home runs and seven RBI.
