Until April 27, 2012 it looked like it could be a big year for Lancaster's Telvin Nash. He was batting .247 and was leading the JetHawks with nine home runs. Nash also had 15 RBI, a .623 slugging percentage and a .972 OPS. He had struck out 28 times in 77 at bats, but over-all, it was good to be Telvin Nash in April.
I'm sure it is just a coincidence, but Nash's season took a downward turn the afternoon of April 27, when as part of a team promotion, he interacted with fans on Twitter. Nash missed a few games after the Twitter Takeover with an unrelated injury and has not been the same since.
Through two at bats in Wednesday night's game(two strikeouts), Nash is batting .200(19 for 95) since April 27. He has only four home runs and 11 RBI over the stretch. His two strikeouts tonight brought his total in his last 95 at bats to 50.
