Here's a Throwback...Cedeno is an Astros Again

It's fitting that there will be a Cedeno in an Astros' uniform today when Houston and the Dodgers meet for the final time as National League rivals Sunday afternoon. Alyson Footer tweeted this morning that the Astros have purchased the contract of left-hander Xavier Cedeno, and that he will be in uniform at Chavez Ravine this afternoon. Fernando Abad is being moved to the disabled list, which makes room for the Cedeno addition. Cedeno, who made three appearances with the Astros in September 2011, has an 0.42 ERA in 17 outings for Oklahoma City in 2012. CESAR Cedeno was one of the central characters in the battles between the Astros and Dodgers in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Cesar Cedeno, who spent twelve seasons as an Astro from 1970-1981, will be on the Greeneville Astros' coaching staff this season.
