Taking a line drive off of his right leg didn't prevent Oklahoma City pitcher Dallas Keuchel from recording a solid start during the RedHawks' Wednesday morning/afternoon game. Moises Sierra led off the second inning for Las Vegas by drilling a line drive up the middle into Keuchel's right leg.
Sierra reached base on the play, and after being thoroughly examined by Mike Freer, the club's trainer and manager Tony DeFrancesco, Keuchel stayed on the mound. He didn't leave the game until there was one out in the eighth inning. The RedHawk bullpen could not hold a 1-0 lead for Keuchel, but he finished his day allowing four hits and no runs while striking out five Las Vegas batters.
