Ben Orloff's single in the bottom of the 11th inning drove in Rafael Valenzuela giving Lancaster a 4-3 win over Inland Empire. The win was the 50th win of May for the Astros' four top minor league affiliates.
In addition to driving in the winning run, Orloff also scored the tying run in the bottom of the ninth inning to send the contest at Clear Channel Stadium into extra innings. With two outs in the ninth, he scored on a wild pitch third strike to Adam Bailey. Valenzuela started the ninth inning rally with a solo home run which made the score 3-2.
It was the first win of the season for the JetHawks when they had trailed after eight innings. Lancaster is now 1-20 in such situations.
