Carlos Correa, the first selection in today's MLB Draft, is the eighth player from Puerto Rico taken by the Astros since Bobby Heck became the club's scouting director.
Two of the seven draftees from Puerto Rico have made it to High A. Enrique Hernandez and Rene Garcia are currently playing in Lancaster. Hernandez was selected in the sixth round of the 2009 draft.
