Former Lancaster play-by-play announcer Jeff Lasky isn't behind the JetHawks' microphone any more, but this weekend he will be part of the team's play-off chase. Lasky (@JeffLaskydotcom) tweeted that he will be calling a few games for the High Desert Mavericks this weekend when they take on Rancho Cucamonga. With nine days left in the first half of the season, High Desert leads the JetHawks in the South Division of the California League by one game. The division race promises to be a tight one as Lake Elsinore is also one game behind High Desert, Rancho Cucamonga trails by only two games with nine games to play.
