JetHawks Still have a Chance to Kiss Their Sisters

If the JetHawks win their first half finale at Clear Channel Stadium Saturday against Inland Empire and get some help from High Desert, they will end the first half tied for first in the South Division of the California League.  Lancaster, High Desert and Lake Elsinore are all one game behind division leader Rancho Cucamonga heading into the final game of the first half.
High Desert is hosting Rancho Cucamonaga, while Lake Elsinore is scheduled to finish the half at North Division champion, Bakersfield.  Based on the league's tie breaking procedures, the JetHawks are out of the running for the play-off berth that accompanies a first half division title.  However, a Lancaster win combined with a High Desert victory over Rancho Cucamonga would result in a three-way tie for the title including the Astros' High A affiliate.  Lake Elsinore could make it a four-way tie if they knock off Bakersfield this evening.
Whatever the result this evening, the JetHawks will have a few days to recover before they begin the second half of the season.  The team will be off until Thursday night for the all-star break.
