According to the South Atlantic League website, seven members of the Lexington Legends have been selected to particpate in the league's 2012 all-star game. The game is scheduled to be played Tuesday, June 19 at Charleston, South Carolina. One of the activities scheduled prior to the game itself is a home run derby on an aircraft carrier.
The seven all-stars:
Jason Chowning, RHP(promoted to Lancaster)
Delino DeShields, Jr., 2B
Matt Duffy, 3B
Mike Foltynewicz, RHP
Zach Johnson, DH
Carlos Quevedo, RHP
Nicholas Tropeano, RHP
With Jason Chowning's promotion to Lancaster, I wonder if left-hander Luis Cruz will be selected to take his spot.
