2012 Farmstros Five- Week #15(Pelotero Edition)

Since the documentary Ballplayer: Pelotero was released last Friday, this week's Farmstros Five is focused on the approximately 70 players in the Houston organization who found their way to professional baseball through the Dominican pipeline.

Here is the Farmstros Five for the week of July 12-18, 2012 (Pelotero edition):

The Top Four:

Rayderson Chevalier, 17, RHP, DSL Astros. (Signed by Houston in 2012) Chevalier allowed two hits and no earned runs on the week. He pitched six innings and struck out five.

Fernando Martinez, 23, OF, Oklahoma City. (Signed by New York Mets in 2005) Martinez was 11 for 28 for the RedHawks. He had two doubles, two home runs and six RBI.

Francis Ramirez, 20, RHP, Greeneville. (Signed by Houston in 2008) Ramirez pitched twice for Greeneville on the week. He completed 10 innings, allowed seven hits and one run and struck out 17.

Domingo Santana, 19, OF, Lancaster. (Signed by Philadelphia in 2008) Santana had 12 RBI for the JetHawks. He was 8 for 23 with two doubles and three RBI.

Who is the Farmstros Five #5 For Week 15?

Michael Feliz, 19, RHP, GCL Astros. (Signed by Houston in 2010) Feliz allowed two runs and six hits while striking out 12 in 10 IP.

Teoscar Hernandez, 19, OF, GCL Astros. (Signed by Houston in 2011) Hernandez homered in three straight games.  He was 6 for 23 with two doubles, one triple, three home runs and seven RBI.

Darwin Rivera, 20, IF, GCL Astros. (Signed by Houston in 2008)  Rivera was 10 for 22 with two doubles, one home run and six RBI.

Frederick Tiburcio, 21, RHP, Greeneville. (Signed by Houston in 2008) Tiburcio pitched seven innings, allowed three hits and one run, and struck out nine.
